The way it works is that if you want to write an opinion of a product or company, what you do is to go to the site and do a search, find the item, company or website that you want to write about, write your review (I prefer to write mine offline in word so I can spell check it and read it through), then, when you’re done, you publish it on the site, and then people can read the review and your opinion of the item/site. 

Reviews need to be over 150 words minimum to be paid for (this really is an absolute minimum so don’t aim for it, aim to be well past it). 

When the review is published, you get 500 points for it, and then you get another 15 points for every person who reads it as well, and you keep earning from reads for 6 months.  People will rate the review according to how well it’s written and to get good ratings you want to be writing something that’s easy to read, and is primarily your own opinion rather than just a description of the item.

The site works on a points system, so as you go along you earn the points which you can then exchange either for Amazon vouchers or for a Cheque.  10 points is equal to 1 penny, and 50,000 points are needed for a £50 cheque – the minimum cheque value you can cash in for.  Or Amazon vouchers can be exchanged for at 20,000 points for £20 and then increase in £5 / 5,000 point increments. 

Dooyoo is actually very quick at processing payouts, and usually takes about 10 days for the money/voucher to reach you which compared to some is pretty speedy.

There are a couple of other ways you can earn points as follows:

Referring a friend – 500 points
Requesting a new product be added to the site – 10 points
Winning a crown award for your review – 1500 points

They have pretty much all the areas on the site that you might expect - daily clicks, easy cash, catalogues and brochures, and competitions and draws as well as a long list of shops that you can shop at and get cashback.

They have a nice simple referral system too.  Every friend that you refer to them you will recieve 25p.  So if you simply referred six friends, then you could cash out without doing anything else!

They run payment dates on the site so that when you request a cashout, your money will be paid to you on the next payment date.  These dates are made very clear on the site so it’s easy to know when you will receive your next payment.

Unlike a lot of cashback sites, although Raining Cashback is UK based they are happy to accept international members.  However, they do state that some offers may not be available for anyone who isn’t UK based.

You can choose from three diferent methods of payment - Paypal, BACS or Moneybookers or if you prefer you can choose to make a charity donation (although it doesn’t say on the site which charity they support).

The site has it’s own forum as well, meaning you can log on there and join in with other members, and also giving a really good place to look and ask things if you have any questions as you’re going along - another thing that makes it a great starting place for beginners.

Some of them are wanting you to buy a property in the area, others are wanting you to buy a share in a propery - like x number of weeks per year that you own that place for.   These can be quite a good idea, and it’s a great way of looking at your options and seeing what’s available and deciding if it’s for you.

They do want something from you while you’re out there though.  Usually it’s a fixed presentation, and perhaps a trip to one or two places that they think might be what you’re looking for.  In order to get the holiday for free, you do have to take part in these promotional presentations, and if you’re a couple it has to be both of you that go along not just one of you.

As you can probably imagine, they’re looking to sell you something, so they’re not going to give these holidays away if you don’t fit the criteria that means you could afford what they’re selling, so you generally have to be over a specific age and earning at least a specific amount in order to qualify.  They also have set rules often that say that it’s a max of one promotional offer per family per year, or that you can’t book theirs and someone elses at the same location within x amount of time.  This is to stop people from getting lots of holidays from them with no intention of buying.

It’s a good idea if you think about it.  They could get you to go to a presentation in the UK, but well that’s not really going to entice you anything like as much as you being out there could. 

One place that is offering just such a deal at the moment is Sumer Bay Resorts where you can get a free 5 Day/4 Night Stay at their resort in Andalucia, Spain.  All you do to apply is fill in your full name and your e-mail address and then they will contact you with more details.  As an added bonus, if you give the Claim code #SV908 you can receive an additional 5-nights accommodations at a Disney Planning Centre Resort when you visit a Walt Disney World or Universal Orlando Attraction.  They have terms and conditions on the site.

I know these aren’t MONEY, but they’re such good deals that they’re well worth a look if you can!

This is a cashback site.  They give you £2.50 when you join as a thankyou for joining them, and you can earn up to 35% cashback on purchases made through the site with the various retailers they have there.  They have a vast selection of retailers available including Amazon, Additions, Littlewoods, HMV and many more.

Unlike most cashback sites, this one also has codes that they have on site to help you with money off when you do your online shopping too, so it’s worth keeping an eye on these so you don’t miss out on extra money off!

When you reach £25 you can choose to cashout your money and you’ll be given another £2.50 bonus into your account to get you started again.

You can also earn £5 when you refer a friend to Ecashback.  The referral bonus is paid when the referred user makes their first qualifying purchase through the site.

Another way you can earn extra points is by writing things for the site itself.  There are a number of sections around the site where you can send in snippets of information such as beauty tips, or info on places to go in London and a variety of other things.  If your piece is used then you get some points - normally 50 to 100 of them.

Your points are kept in your piggy bank on the site, and when you have enough you can spend them on a variety of things.  Rewards vary from gift vouchers such as Boots, Topshop, Pizza Hut and many others (a £10 gift voucher costs 1150 points) to items such as pigsback branded items like mugs, shopping bags, soft cuddly pigs, keyrings and even a manicure kit.  The cheapest item you can opt for is a set of 5 branded pencils for 175 points, and the most expensive item is a half carat princess diamond 18ct white gold ring at 85000 points!  As you can probably imagine, there’s plenty in between to choose from too.

They also have a special section on the site where you can download coupons to print off.  These can be taken to your supermarket and will give you money off your shopping, and they’re free.  Not only that, but when you use them, you then get extra points added to your account as well, Not bad!

When you have writen your first 20 reviews and they’ve been checked (no getting away with copying from else where or writing one liners here!) BView will send you a free £10 Amazon gift voucher as a thankyou.

This isn’t a money making site where you’re going to make a lot, but it’s a nice touch that they’ve added allowing people to earn a bit, and don’t forget that you’re joining in and helping others out at the same time.  Someone visiting or moved to your area who wants to know which butcher is good and which isn’t can go on there and see what you’ve writen about the different butchers and it may well help them to decide who to try for themselves.  A clever idea and a nice site.   Can I suggest you also take a look at this page before you start writing too, it tells you how long and what sort of reviews they’re wanting (So you make sure you do good enough reviews to get your voucher!).

This is a UK based ptc or ptr site, I know it might not seem it when it pays in American dollars, but it’s based in the UK and run by a bloke called Charlie from London.

Like most American (or american style in this case) ptr sites, it really doesn’t pay much per click that you do, but if you do all the clicks around the site every day it does add up. If you can get yourself a few referrals as well then it starts to add up even faster as they pay 18% on your referrals.

Cashout here at is low at just $1 (that’s about 50p in UK money), and you can opt for random payouts too which means that you might be paid at any time regardless of how much money you have in your account. Payment is made by paypal in $’s so if you’re based anywhere else in the world you will then need to convert to your local currency.

You build points up in your Ipsos account and then you can spend them on a variety of different gift vouchers, including WHSmiths, Boots, Argos, John Lewis, Arcadia and Leisure vouchers.  You can choose from different denominations, and the more points you save, the more you can get, for example a £2 gift voucher will cost you 350 points, a £5 gift voucher will cost you 750 points and a £10 gift voucher 1380 so as you can see it’s worth saving your points for a little longer and going for larger gift vouchers if you can.

Ciao is a site where you can write your opinions about various subjects from products you’ve bought to websites you’ve visited and make money from doing so.  Basically the way it works is if you want to write a review/opinion, what you do is to go to the site, find the item or site that you want to write about, then write about it.  When you’ve done so, you publish it on the site, and then people can read the review and your opinion of the item/site. 

The idea is that when you write about something you’ve bought whether it be a washing machine, new car, stereo or cd, other people who are thinking about buying that item can read what you think and get an idea from that about whether the item is going to suit them.

The way you make money from this, is that if the person who is reading your review is also a Ciao member, when they read and rate your review then you get paid 1/2 a penny or 1 penny or even 2 pennies depending on what the review was about and if it’s an item/site that Ciao is trying to push hard or not.

The money gets stored up in your Ciao account and then when you have accumulated £5 or more, you can request a payout from them.  They pay out via BACS so the money will be transfered directly into your bank account.  They send payments once a month, for the previous month, so if you request a payment in June, it would be paid to you at the end of July.
